Betty Lee Robertson, 73, Beloved and Caring Woman
Betty Lee Robertson, 73 of Longwood, Florida, passed away January 9th, 2015.She was born April 22nd, 1941 to the late LeRoy & Geraldine (Curley) Nimon in Lorain, Ohio near Lake Erie where she often fished with her family. Betty adored seafood, but soon could no longer eat it she would playfully convince family members to order seafood at restaurants so she could watch them enjoy it on her behalf!
Betty grew into a beloved, caring and fierce woman who appropriately became a nurse spending most of her career working with and caring for those in Orange County Jail. Her best friend, Charlene, was her ally there.
Betty’s family delighted in her as fun! Everybody’s grandma, Betty was heartwarming, outgoing, honest-out-of-love She was protective of her family, and would not hold back the truth even if the conversation was difficult. But, no one ever came away feeling judged her love was unconditional, and she believed the best of every one of them.
Betty always knew what was going on the world, watching or listening to the news all the time, loving to debate with her beloved family. Unless, of course, she was watching her soaps, General Hospital and All My Children or, doing a little shopping on QVC!
An early bird, Betty cleaned tirelessly! Top to bottom was her method, from dusting to floors, and she did laundry every day! All the while, she kept her nails glistening red with her regular two-week appointment with Joy.
And, the joy of Betty herself remains with her loved ones here, as they remember her fondly and deeply in their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert and Vickie Nimon.
She is survived by her daughter, Coleen Leigh; her brother, Dick Nimon and two sisters-in-law, Penny and Linda; and, her two granddaughters, Caitlyn and Courtney.
A memorial service for Betty will be held on Monday, January 19th, 2015 at 9:30am at Annunciation Catholic Church, with a reception to follow. 1020 Montgomery Road, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714
