Albert R. Dusky, 85, U.S. Army Veteran

Bob was born April 15, 1929 in Berea and had resided in Amherst Township since 1989 moving from Grafton. He had moved from Berea to Grafton in 1965.

Bob graduated from Strongsville High School and served with the US Army during the Korean War.

He worked at Toth Buick in Strongsville as a mechanic in the service department for many years and then at Merrick Chevrolet in Berea. Afterward, he worked at Ross Environmental Services in Grafton for over 25 years retiring in 1995.

Bob was a charter member of Knights of Columbus Father Cieslik Council #8369 in Grafton. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and training show dogs.

He is survived by his children Joan Dusky of Gainesville, Florida, Roberta Dusky of Tallahassee, Florida, Paul Dusky (Cheryl) of Springfield, Tennessee, Stephen Dusky (Wendy) of Westlake, Donald Dusky (Cathy) of Grafton and Ronald Dusky (Dawn) of Columbia Station, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and brother Kenneth Dusky (Shirley) of Romeo, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Josephine A. Dusky (nee Gawelek) on February 1, 2000, parents Emil and Hattie Dusky (nee Grospitch) and brothers Robert, Edward and Raymond Dusky.

The family will receive friends Wednesday 4-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at the Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park where the VFW Post #3345 of Strongsville will conduct military honors.
