Bernadette P. Piros (nee Nagy) , 78, Executive Secretary for the American Crucible Company
Bernadette P. Piros, (nee Nagy), age 78, of Sheffield Village, and formerly of Lorain, passed away Thursday January 19, 2012 at Mercy Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
She was born in Lorain on December 1, 1933 and was a 1951 graduate of Lorain High School.
Bernadette was employed for many years as an Executive Secretary in the Production Department of the American Crucible Company in Lorain. She was a parishioner of the former St. Ladislaus Catholic Church.
Her hobbies included solving crossword, jigsaw, and soduku puzzles. Additional interests included gardening and hand crafts.
She is survived by her brother Steve Nagy, Jr. of Elyria Township and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Louis in 2001, by an infant daughter Monica in 1966, by her parents Steve and Mary (nee Rada) Nagy, by her sister Yolanda Piros, and by her brother William in infancy.
Friends may call Tuesday January 24th from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 12:00 noon in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend Father John C. Retar, Pastor of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish will officiate.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
