Rosa Lee Driskell, 81, Active Church Member

She was born February 5, 1930 in Memphis, Tennessee and was a resident of Lorain since 1958. She moved to Las Vegas in 2004.

Rosa worked for the former Klein Department Store and J.C. Penney as a sales clerk retiring in 1973

She was a former member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Amherst where she was part of the Willing Worker's of the church. She was a member of the Ford UAW Ladies Auxiliary and ran their 50/50 raffle and also a member of AARP. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and her hobbies included gardening, word searches, and reading.

She is survived by her children Gary L. Driskell (Lora) of Phoenix, Arizona and Ginger Knight (Ken) of Las Vegas, Nevada and 5 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Allen Driskell, Jr. in 1997, parents Jacob A. and Pearl V. (nee James) Mitchell, daughter Carlene Bunt in 2000, grandsons Neil Bunt in 2000 and Travis Bunt in 1976, brothers Chester, Carlos, and Charles "Jack" Mitchell, and sisters Ruby Crumpton and Gladys M. Smith.

The family will receive friends Sunday 2-5pm in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 am in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Steve Mayes, pastor of Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Amherst, officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
