Lois I. Holcomb , 80, Resident of Lorain since 1965

She was born April 10, 1928 in North Dakota. During World War II, she met her future husband Charles wile working at a plant in Vancouver, Washington. She moved to Checotah, Oklahoma before coming to Lorain in 1948. She lived in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania for nine years before returning to Lorain in 1965.
Mrs. Holcomb was a homemaker and mother who enjoyed cooking, crocheting and making crafts. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Among the survivors are her sons, Charles R. Holcomb, Jr. of Andover, Glenn L. Holcomb of Lorain and Kevin K. Holcomb of Vancouver, Wash.; daughters Charlene K. Ortiz of College Park, Georgia and Renee L. Stratton of Greenwich; brothers Kurt Ebel of Vancouver, Lance Ebel of Hankinson, North Dakota; sisters Donna Krause of Hankinson, Annette Niner of Huston, Texas, Phyllis Gentry of Medina and Valdeen Anderson of Mankato, Minnesota; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years Charles R. Holcomb who died in 1999; her parents Charles A. and Erna (nee Kloehn) Holcomb; brothers Vernon Ebel and Lynn Ebel; sisters Charlotte Dudgeon and Loraine Saunders.
Her family will receive friends, Tuesday, July 1, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Funeral services at the funeral home will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008 with the Rev. James E. Smucker, Pastor of Heritage Presbyterian Church, Amherst officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
Her Family suggests memorial contributions to the Lois Holcomb Memorial Fund at any First Federal Savings Bank.
