Drago Bukovac, 58, Operated Drago's Upholstery
Drago Bukovac 58 of Lorain died Saturday, March 12, 2005 in his home following a lengthy illness.He was born June 16, 1946 in Zrnok, Croatia. He was a Lorain resident for 36 years. He Immigrated to Lorain in 1968.
Mr. Bukovac owned and operated Drago's Upholstery in Lorain for eight years. He worked up until 2004 because of illness. Previously to that he worked for Lake Erie Upholstery, Lorain.
He was a member of Saint Vitus Croatian Catholic Church, Lorain. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed raising Honey Bees, growing and grafting fruit trees, growing grapes, and making his own wine.
Among the survivors are his wife of 33 years Maria (nee Erent) Bukovac of Lorain; daughters Jessica and Susan Bukovac both of Lorain; twin brother Bogdan Bukovac; sisters Dragicia Rajsel, Stanka Habijanec of Croatia and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Josip and Polonia (nee Kovac) Bukovac, brothers Anton and Josip Bukovac, sisters Jelka Grosel and Marja Diklic.
Friends may call Tuesday, March 15, 2005, 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio, where a Parish Rosary will be prayed 5:00 PM Tuesday afternoon.
Funeral services will be Wednesday with closing prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 AM followed by Mass at 10:00 AM at Saint Vitus Croatian Catholic Church, East 32nd Street and Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Reverend Simon Nekic, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
