Nita V. Bruce, 91, Enjoyed Fishing and Snowmobiling

Nita V. Bruce (nee Naumann), 91 of Vermilion, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005 in Kingston of Vermilion after a lengthy illness.

She was born June 2, 1913 in Traverse City, MI. She was raised in Bridgeport, MI and had lived in Mio, MI before moving to Vermilion in 1999.

She and her husband, William H. Bruce, owned and operated Duck-Inn Drive Through for four years and Bruce Trailer Sales from 1942 to 1956 both in Bay City, MI.

She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Mio, MI and enjoyed fishing and snowmobiling.

Survivors include her son, Harry T. Bruce of Vermilion, OH , 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 daughter-in-laws; Shirley Bruce of Vermilion and Carol Bruce of Luzerne, MI and 1 sister-in-law, Violet Miller of Saginaw, MI.

Preceding her in death were her husband William H. Bruce in 1999, parents, August J. and Agnes (nee Pelletier) Naumann, and son Don Bruce.

Private internment will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport, MI. Riddle Funeral Home 5345 South St. Vermilion, OH is handling the arrangements.
