Barbara Ann Nemec, 70, Served As Bookkeeper for Lorain Businesses

Barbara was born July 11, 1934 in Fort Harrison, Indiana and had been a resident of Lorain since 1943.

She was a 1952 graduate of Lorain Saint Mary High School and was employed as a bookkeeper for Jakmas Plumbing and Heating of Lorain and later in the same capacity at The National Pharmacy Company of Lorain retiring in 1992 following seventeen years of service with thaT entity. An active parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Lorain and its Altar and Rosary Society, she served there as a Parish School of Religion teacher and Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of the New Life Prayer Group at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Mrs. Nemec enjoyed the company of her grandchildren, reading and watching the Cleveland Indians.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-one years: Joseph M. Nemec, Sr., by a son: Joseph M. Nemec, Jr. of North Ridgeville, daughters: Mrs. Thomas (Ann Marie) Kilargis of Tucson, Arizona, and Mrs. Donald (Monica) Clark of Amherst Township, along with eight grandchildren, a sister: Mrs. Howard (Georgiana) Flood of Stow, Ohio and a brother: George M. Rusinko of Avon Lake.

She was preceded in death by her father: George Rusinko in 1981 and by her mother: Helen (nee Sutak) Rusinko in 1980.

Visitation will be Friday, March 4, 2005, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel – 3224 Broadway – Lorain where a rosary service will be conducted by officers and members of the Holy Trinity Altar & Rosary Society at 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturdaybeginning at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel and will be followed by the celebration of funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church – 2428 Elyria Avenue – Lorain. The Reverend David A. Novak, pastor of the parish will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery – Lorain.
