Edna E. Chester, 84, Enjoyed Collecting Coins and Stamps

She was born September 23, 1920, in Virginia. She moved with her family to Avon, Ohio, when she was a young child. She graduated from Avon High School in the class of 1939. She has been a Vermilion resident since 1978.
She was a retired Manager for the Internal Revenue Service where she had worked in the Cleveland, Cincinnati and Covington offices. She was a member of the National Association of Internal Revenue Employees. She traveled extensively through most of the United States.
She enjoyed collecting coins and stamps and was actively involved in the ministries of her church, First Baptist Church of Vermilion.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie Garber of LaGrange, OH; a son, William Chester of Pueblo West, CO; grandchildren, D. Edwin Garber, Jody White, Anthony Chester, and Kelly Chester; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; sisters, Edythe Benton of North Ridgeville, OH, Mildred Breidenbachand and Nancy Raidl, both of Grand Junction, CO.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 45 years, William Chester (1984); parents, Warren Harold and Nancy Ellen(nee Whitlock) Buell; and brothers, Harold and Thomas Buel.
Friends may call Wednesday, March 2, 2005 from 6-8 pm and Thursday, March 3 from 10 am until time of service at 11 am at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Thursday, March 3, 2005, at 11 am with The Reverend Donald Resecker, pastor of First Baptist Church of Vermilion, officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
