Kathy L. Layberger, 51, Nursing Assistant
Kathy L. Layberger (nee Kenfield), 51, of Vermilion, died Friday, February 25, 2005 in Community Health Partners West after a 3 year illness.
She was born October 30, 1953 in Lorain, Ohio. She has been a life long resident of Vermilion.
She was a graduate of Vermilion High School. She had been a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Amherst and Broadway Assembly of Lorain.
She worked as a Nursing Assistant for Oak Hills Nursing Home, Lorain for 13 years.
She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Kirk Layberger; her father, Luther Kenfield, of Vermilion; 2 sisters, Carol Brestvansky of Lorain, and Sandra Kenfield of Vermilion; 4 nieces and 2 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth (nee Jones) Kenfield in 1997.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 28, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at 10 am with the Reverend Mark Lantz, senior pastor of Broadway Assembly Church, Lorain.
Interment will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
