Jean A. Ciarrone, 76, Operated Booths at Jamie's Flea Market

Jean A. Ciarrone (nee Fior), 76, of Lorain, died Friday February 25, 2005 at her home after a lengthy illness.

She was born August 23, 1928 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.

She was a graduate of Lorain High School with the class of 1946 B. Prior to her marriage she worked as a waitress at her parents Lake Road Spaghetti House restaurant in Vermilion.

For over 25 years she shared two booths with her brother Dick at Jamie’s Flea Market in South Amherst and had been featured in a Morning Journal article in July 2000 about the flea market.

Mrs. Ciarrone was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain and volunteered at the St. Joseph Thrift Store in Lorain. She enjoyed collectibles, glassware and antiques.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years Dominick Ciarrone of Lorain, sons Michael Ciarrone of Avon Lake, Paul Ciarrone of Lakewood, John Ciarrone of Wellington, Richard Ciarrone of Parma and James Ciarrone of North Olmsted, daughter Kay Sterpka of Richfield and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Jacob & Anna (nee Mraz) Fior and brother Dick Fior.

The family will receive friends Sunday 4-8 PM at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 AM followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Kenneth Wolnowski, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
