Addean P. Hershberger, 85, Accounting Clerk

Photo of Addean P. Hershberger Addean P. Hershberger, 85 of Sheffield Lake formerly of Vermilion, died Wednesday, February 9, 2005 in New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain, after a short illness.

She was born December 21, 1919 in Cleveland, and has been a Vermilion resident since 1984 moving from Cleveland.

She worked as an accounting clerk for the Board of Cuyahoga County Custodian Dept retiring in 1983 after 16 years.

She was a member of St Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion, where she had been active in the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member of the Vermilion A.A.R.P., Grange Erie County Pamona Club, Erie County PERS Retirement Club, and the Golden Agers. She enjoyed playing cards and crocheting afghans that she donated to different organizations.

Survivors include her daughter, Pauline Davis of Sheffield Lake; 2 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.

Preceding her in death were her husband, George W. Hershberger in 2001, and parents, Paul and Kathryn (nee Duggan) Engert.

Friends may call Thursday, February 10, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.

Prayers will be said at the funeral home Friday, February 11, 2005 at 12 Noon followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange St., Vermilion, with Reverend Jim Holmer, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Rugby Cemetery, Brownhelm Township, Ohio.
