Evelyn L. Allen, 96, Real Estate Broker
Evelyn L. Allen, age 96 of Lorain died on Thursday, January 27, 2005, at New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph in Lorain, OH following a long illness.
Miss Allen was born on June 17, 1908, in Lorain, OH, moving to California in 1933. She was a graduate of Lorain High School and the San Diego College.
She retired from the Alcove Realty and Insurance Company in San Diego as a real estate broker. She was a member of the San Diego Board of Realtors and the California Real Estate Association.
Miss Allen returned to Lorain a year ago.
She is survived by her caregiver and niece Elva Behr of Lorain, and several other nieces and nephews.
Miss Allen is preceded in death by her parents Orlando and Mary (nee Pittenger) Allen and a sister Portia Garfield.
Services are private and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain, OH.
