Hazel J. Brumfield, 65, Enjoyed Crafts and Landscape Design
Hazel J. Brumfield (nee Mullins) 65 of Avon Lake, formerly of Sheffield Lake, passed away, Wednesday, January 19 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Dorton, Kentucky.Mrs. Brumfield was born, April 11, 1939 in Jenkins, Kentucky and has lived in Avon Lake the past 38 years.
Mrs. Brumfield was a 1957 Graduate of Jenkins High School, Jenkins Kentucky and was a home maker. She enjoyed crafts and landscape design. Her family described her children and grandchildren as her life.
Mrs. Brumfield is survived by her husband, Robert L. whom she married, September 23, 1960. Other survivors include 2 daughters: Teresa Heimer(Lloyd) of Chesapeake, VA and Robin Duncan (Barry) of Middlefield; 2 sons Michael Brumfield (Debbie) of Sheffield Lake and Robert Brumfield, Jr., of Elyria. She is also survived her mother: Mary Mullins of Jenkins, Kentucky; 6 grandchildren: Shawna Brumfield and Danielle Brumfield, Tanya Flowers, Ashley Bender, Corey Duncan and Tyler Duncan; 2 brothers: Tom Mullins of Amherst and Don Mullins of Westland, MI; 3 sisters: Mae Grey of Sheffield Village, Joyce White of Elyria and Sue Anderson of Dorton, KY and a niece raised as a sister: Donna Hudson Pillar.
She is preceded in death by 2 brother: Daniel Mullins, who passed away in the same automobile accident and Bob Mullins. She is also preceded in death by her father Martin Mullins.
Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Rd. Avon, Sunday, January 23 from 5-7pm. Funeral Services will be at the Funeral Home, Monday, January 24 at 11:00am. Dr. Charles A. Peal of Lakeshore Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
