John Wollerman, 55, Locomotive Engineer
John Wollerman, age 55, born August 24, 1949, in Elyria, Ohio, died Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at his home in Quinton, Va.John was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and retired after 30 years as a locomotive engineer with CSX Transportation.
John was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Alban Wollerman.
Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Katherine; his mother, Mary Jane Wollerman of Waverly, Ohio; three siblings, Gail Ann Tremmel of Amissville, Va., Michael Young Wollerman of Ten Mile, Tenn., and Steven Eric Wollerman, who is serving in the air Force in Guam; other devoted family and friends.
John was a daredevil at heart, enjoying skydiving, motorcycles, mountain climbing, water sports, and was most definitely a driving enthrusiast. He also earned his private pilot's license after returning from the military. He was an avid reader and crossword puzzle expert. He will be especially missed for his quick wit and sense of humor.
Funeral services will be conducted 5 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2005, at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 South Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment private.
