Loretta Jean Jeancola, 69, Dance instructor

She was born August 15, 1935 in Athens, OH. She had been a Vermilion resident for the past 6 years, moving from Lorain.

Loretta had been a dance instructor for Arthur Murry Dance Studio in the 1950’s. She had worked for Ted Jacobs and Smith & Gerhart, Inc. Department Stores in Lorain. She had also been a receptionist for Dr. Ciprus’s Dental Office in Lorain.

Mrs. Jeancola was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Vermilion. She enjoyed cooking and loved animals.

Survivors include her 3 sisters: Jacqueline D. Fleming of Vermilion, Linda S. Brooks of Lorain, and Judy D. Slonc of West Palm Beach, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years: Emil Jeancola on December 30, 2004; her parents: Floyd (2000) and Marjorie (1986); and a half brother Charles O’Neal.

Friends may call Wednesday, January 19, 2005 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of prayers at 12:30 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at 1 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion, OH. Rev. James Steinle will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
