Ann M. Miller, 75, Director Human Resources
Ann M. Miller (nee Flesher), 75, of Vermilion, died Monday, January 3, 2005 at her home after a 1 1/2 year illness.
She was born November 2, 1929 in New Martinsville, WV and had been a Vermilion resident since 1957 moving from Lorain.
She retired as the Director Human Resources for Bettcher Industries where she had worked from 1969 to 1992.
She was a member of the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church where she had served as treasurer. She had also been a member of the United Church of Christ Congregational. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Association, the Vermilion Y M C A, the Lorain Chamber of Commerce and the Erie County Personnel Association. She had worked on the renovation of the Sandusky State Theater. She volunteered for the American Heart Association and enjoyed ceramics, swimming, playing blackjack and traveling. She especially enjoyed her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Gene Miller; daughters, Deborah (Dan) A. Slyker of Dunedin, FL Susan L. (Donald) Folino of Vermilion, Mimi (Chuck) Bella of Vermilion; son, Tyrone R. (Vivian) Derrow of Vermilion; stepsons, Robert G. (Sharon) Miller of New London, Donald B. (Beverly) Miller of Norwalk, Terry L. (Mary Jo) Miller of Lorain, Brad H. Miller of Somerset, KY and Mark Z. (Sue Lyn) Miller of North Fairfield, OH. ; and 22 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death wer her parents, Boyd and Mary (nee Rothlisberger) Flesher; and a step son, Jerry A,.Miller.
Friends may call Saturday, January 8, 2005 from 10 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at 11 a.m. at the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church, Ohio at Grand Streets, Vermilion. Interim Pastor, Reverend Bob Daugherty will officiate.
