Maria Muratti, 84, Excellent cook

She was born December 4, 1920 in Kiev, Ukraine. She came to Lorain in 1957. She relocated to Avon in 1971 and lived there until moving to Vero Beach, Florida in 1997.

Mrs. Muratti retired as a housekeeper from Saint Joseph Hospital, Lorain in 1995. She worked there for 30 years.

She was known as an excellent cook and did catering. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening.

Among the survivors are her sons Nicholas Muratti of Tampa, Florida and Alexander Muratti of Lorain, a daughter Helene Keil of Vero Beach, Florida, a sister Galina of New York, Three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Husband of 55 years Waldimir Muratti in April 1975 and four brothers.

Friends may call Monday 9 a.m. until time of memorial service at 10 a.m. in Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Reverend Paul Monkowski, Pastor of Saints Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church, Lorain will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
