Coletta Catherine Rogala, 82, Enjoyed cooking and traveling

Coletta Catherine Rogala (nee Kelling) 82 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, passed away December 29, 2004 at Community Health Partners H&S Center of Lorain following a brief illness.

She was born March 21, 1922 in Lorain, Ohio. She made her home in Amherst and Sheffield before moving to Lorain in 2000.

Coletta was employed by Thew Shovel, Elyria Plant 5 as a secretary for twenty-five years retiring in 1964. She taught ceramics for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst. Coletta enjoyed cooking, traveling and camping.

Survivors include her sons, James S. Rogala of Lorain, and Jerald S. Rogala of California; her brothers Adolph Kelling of Amherst and Chester Kelling of Lorain; Her sister Gladys Kopronica of Amherst; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded by her husband of fifty-six years Steven T. Rogala on August 8, 1996; by her parents Conrad and Josephine Kelling (nee Bring); by her brother Alfred Kelling; by her step-sisters Loretta Davidson and Adella Bring and by her step-brother William Kelling.

Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Closing prayers will be held on Friday, December 31, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. at the Funeral home followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst. Rev. Fr. Lawrence Martello, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Amherst, OH.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst 44001.
