Peter Suleski, 94, Enjoyed Reading and Playing Cards
Peter Suleski, 94, a lifelong resident of Lorain died Sunday, December 19, 2004, at EMH Amherst Hospital after a long illness.Born June 29, 1910, Pete enjoyed reading, gardening and playing cards. He was a member of the Church of Saint Peter and was very proud of and cared about his community. He was also an avid blood donor. Pete attended Lorain High and has been retired from US Steel for over 40 years where he worked as a piercer and plugger.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years Ann (nee Gargasz) Suleski; sons Peter F. of Eagan, MN and Paul A. of Mesa, AZ; daughter Katherine L. Cucco of Lorain; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wojciech and Wladyslawa (nee Mertins) Sulewski; brothers Walter, Gracian and Anthony; and sisters Frances Mazurkiewicz, Josephine Guzewicz, Elizabeth Stelmack, Katherine Atkielski and Mary Sulewski.
Friends may call Wednesday, December 22, 2004, from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 8:30 pm at Wyers Funeral Chapel, 2900 North Ridge Rd, Elyria. Closing prayers will be held Thursday at noon at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm at Church of Saint Peter located at 3655 Oberlin Avenue in Lorain. Father Kenneth J. Wolnowski will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
