Rebecca Lee Benedict, 53, Lab Technician

She was born July 5, 1951 in Tiffin, Ohio, was raised in Sycamore, Ohio, and moved to Vermilion in 1971.
She worked as a Lab Technician for Community Health Partners both at St. Joseph Hospital and CHP for 32 years. She was a former member of the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed church. She was a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, and Daughters of the American Revolution. She was interested in the Oasis Animal Shelter, enjoyed painting, home improvement, genealogy, traveling, water gardening, collecting music boxes and reading.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Leonard Benedict; daughters, Brooke Benedict of Chicago, IL and Tiffany Benedict of Akron, sister, Kathy Hayman of Tiffin, and half sister, Carol White of Delaware; her mother, Mice Brouse (nee Wright) of Upper Sandusky.
Preceding her in death were her father, Charles Frederick Brouse and a daughter, Alicia.
Friends may call Friday, December 10, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Saturday, December 11, 2004 at 10 a.m. Sister Pat Adams, of New Life Hospice, will officiate.
Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
