Woodrow N. Ulrich, 86, WWII Army Air Corp Veteran
Woodrow N. Ulrich, age 86, of Avon Lake, and formerly of Hardin County, passed away Monday, December 6, 2004 at St. John West Shore Hospital, following a short illness.Mr. Ulrich was born June 8, 1918 on Hardin County and has lived in Avon Lake for the past 20 years.
Woodrow worked as a farmer and then as a state inspector for the Ohio Department of Agriculture. He was a WWII Army Air Corp Veteran, stationed in Brazil. He was a graduate of Ridgeway High School, Ridgeway, OH. Mr. Ulrich was also a Mason in the Kenton Ohio Lodge. He enjoyed travel and driving trips and was a sports enthusiast.
He is survived by 2 sons: Dennis Ulrich (Linda) of Renville, MN and George Ulrich (Connie) of Avon Lake. Other survivors include 4 grandchildren: Jonathon, Amanda, John, and Christina; and 3 great-grandchildren: Liam, Andrew, and Myah. He is also survived by his sister: Beatrice Young of Ridgeway, OH.
Besides his wife of 54 years: Arnita L. Crooks, Mr. Ulrich was preceded in death by his parents: George J. and Susan (nee Altvater) Ulrich; and 8 brothers and sisters.
Friends may call the Price Funeral Home, 225 West Taylor St., Mt. Victory, OH on Thursday, December 9, 2004 from 6-8 and Friday, December 10 from 10-11 a.m.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 10 at the Price Funeral Home 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Hale Township Cemetery.
