Frank A. ��Tony�� Trnyan, 77, US Marine Corps Staff Sergeant
Frank A. ‘’Tony’’ Trnyan, age 77, of Lorain, died Friday, December 3, 2004 in the M.I.C.U. at Community Health Partners and Surgical Center following a brief illness.Mr. Trnyan was born September 24, 1927 in Lorain and had been a lifelong resident of the city.
He was a graduate of Lorain High School as a member of the class of 1945. He went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps where he graduated from Personnel Administration School and ultimately attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. Among his awards and commendations was certification as a rifle expert.
He was employed for 32 years by National Tube Co. and its successor, the United States Steel Corporation.
He attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain and was a member of United Steelworkers’ Local 1104, AMVETS Post #47 of Lorain, the American Slovak Club, and the Lorain Rosso-Slav Club.
Tony is survived by a sister: Ann Flasco-DeAngelis of Elyria Township.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Peter and Catherine (nee Lunzy) Trnian; by brothers: Joseph, William, and Peter Trnyan; and by sisters: Irma Skrovan, Irene Zilko, and Mary Kelley.
Private committal services will be conducted at Calvary Cemetery.
