Thomas Leo Conlan, 82, US Navy Veteran
Thomas Leo Conlan, age 82, of Sheffield Lake, passed away, Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain, following a short illness.Mr. Conlan was born, April 22, 1922 in Cleveland and had lived in Sheffield Lake the past 50 years.
Mr. Conlan was a US Navy Veteran during WWII, serving as a Radioman 3 Class on the USS Coghlan in the Asiatic/Pacific Theatre. He worked as a foreman for Ohio Bell, Westlake, for 42 years, retiring in 1982. He enjoyed fishing, boating, gardening and working around the house.
Mr. Conlan is survived by 4 daughters, Patricia Ann Conlan of Cleveland, Elizabeth Concheck (Michael) of Lorain, Amber Conlan of Lorain and Jean Wilson of Michigan and son, John Wilson of Michigan. Other survivors include 6 grandchildren: Jennifer Wilson Benner, Thomas Paul Conlan, Sara Concheck, Maria Concheck, Michael Concheck and Ryan Conkn and a great granddaughter, Tera Marie Radesic.
Besides his wife, Betty Jane (nee Mathews) he is preceded in death by a son, Joseph Ciryak Conlan and 2 brothers, Robert Conlan and Bernard Conlan.
Private Services will be held by the Busch Funeral Home, Avon Lake. Fr. Joseph West of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Lorain, will officiate. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
