Virginia Propst, 90, Homemaker, enjoyed church

Virginia (nee Allman) Propst, 90, formerly of Weston, West Virginia, died Tuesday November 16, 2004 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home in Avon following a lengthy illness.

Born December 28, 1913, Virginia was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, crafts, and helping others and being active in her church.

She attended Berlin United Methodist Church in Berlin, WV where she held several offices. Virginia was a charter member of the Berlin Rebekah Lodge #21 where she held several offices most notably Noble Grand. She was a member of WSCS and the CEO's of Berlin Community. She also attended Lakeshore United Methodist Church in Avon Lake.

Survivors include her daughter Roberta Jo Stout of Sheffield Lake; Grandchildren Kimberly Ogle of Avon Lake, Lisa Stout of Del City, Oklahoma, Sheila Sennhenn of Lagrange and Greg Stout of Sheffield Lake and Great Grandchildren Sarah, Rachel, Timothy Ogle; Abigail Stout and Austin Sennhenn.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years William Brooks Propst; son Edward Brooks Propst; brother Vincent Allman; Sister Alice Rhinehart and grandson Jeffrey Stout.

Friends may call Friday, November 19, 2004 from 5 until 8 pm at Floyd Funeral Home, 402 Main St in Weston, West Virginia and Saturday from noon until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm at Berlin United Methodist Church in Berlin, West Virginia. Pastor Roger McKee will be the officiant. Burial will be a Fairview IOOF Cemetery in West Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the Alzheimer Association-Western Office, 37500 Harvest Drive, Avon, OH 44011; Lakeshore United Methodist Church, 33119 Electric Blvd, Avon, OH 44012; Berlin United Methodist Church, Berlin, WV or Berlin Rebekah Lodge #21.
