Lester Annis Boggs, 75, US Army Veteran

Lester Annis Boggs, age 75, of Grafton Twp. passed away Monday, November 14, 2004 at his home of a sudden illness.

He was born Wednesday, October 30, 1929 in Perkins W.Va., and lived in the Lorain County for over 45 years.

He was employed by Waco Scaffolding in Brookpark as a set-up man before retiring in 1990.

Mr. Boggs is a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during Korean Conflict in the 519 Engineer Co. as a supply handler serving in Okinawa. Mr. Boggs enjoyed hunting, fishing, country music, woodworking, and he loved visiting with family and friends in W.Va.

He is survived by 2 Sons: Arthur Brooks Boggs of Grafton, Ohio and John Michael Boggs; His wife Phyillis Boggs; 1 daughter Elaine Floyd of Morgantown, Ky, several Grandchildren & great-grandchildren; 2 Brothers Earl Boggs of South Carolina, Okie Boggs of Tenn.; 1 Sister Pearl Carpenter of Akron, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his second wife Macel M. Boggs, his parents Benton & Sylvia Boggs, Brothers Bill, Harvey, Floyd, Herbert, Arthur, and a sister Lucy.

Friends may call in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton Thursday, November 18, 2004 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with funeral services Friday, November 19, 2004 in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. James Cake, pastor of Belden United Methodist Church off. Burial will follow in Nesbett Cemetery, Grafton Twp.
