Gwen Collins Obitts, 76, Enjoyed fishing and sports

She was born Sunday February 19, 1928 in Floyd County, Ky., living in the Elyria area most of her life. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Elyria for many years.

Mrs. Obitts enjoyed her family, cooking, fishing & sports.

She is survived by 1 son: Shane Obitts of Elyria, Ohio, 3 Grand Daughters, 2 Brothers Clyde Collins of Washington and Desi Collins of Elyria, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by her husband Milton in 1999, son Gary in 1974; Grandson Tip Hazen in 1990; 2 brothers Glen & Clayton, and her parents Tip & Elizabeth Collins.

Friends may call in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home 1021 Main St. Grafton on Wednesday, November 17, 2004 from 7-9 p.m. Friends may also call in the Calvary Baptist Church at 114 Hope Ct. in Elyria on Thursday, November 18, 2004 from 6 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m. with services being held by Rev. James Walcott pastor off. Burial will be private in LaGrange Cemetery.
