Harold C. Frye, Sr., 73, US Navy Veteran

He was born January 14, 1931 in Kent, OH. He has lived in Elyria most of his life.

Harold was a millwright for Ford Motor Co. in Brookpark, retiring in 1980 after 16 years of service. He later worked for Freezer Queen in Elyria Township.

Mr. Frye was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War.

He was a model train enthusiast and enjoyed music.

Mr. Frye was a descendant of President Ulysses S. Grant.

He is survived by his sons: Harold C. Fry Jr. of Mount Gilead, OH; Robert A. Frye of Austinburg, OH; Byron D. Frye of Watkinsville, GA; Dennis Frye and David A. Frye, both of Elyria; daughters: Donna J. Daniels of Columbus; Patricia A. Repko of Lorain; Rosemarie A. Lynch of Katy, TX; Julia A. Evans and Judith L. Lynch, both of Amherst; 29 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Harold and Letha (Swonger) Frye; Infant son: Donald E. Frye; and sisters: Christine Frye and Letha Piper.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 17, 2004 from 7-9 p.m. at the Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home ~ 2920 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral will be Thursday, November 18, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. George A. Gribben III will officiate. Full military honors will be conducted. Burial will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH.
