Milivoje "Milan" Knezevich, 94, Served in the Serbian Army

Milivoje "Milan" Knezevich 94 of Lorain died Saturday November 12, 2004 in New Life Hospice Center of Saint Joseph, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.

He was born November 28, 1909 in Duboko Buar Serbia. He came to Lorain in 1948 and has been a resident for 56 years.

Mr. Knezevich retired in 1975 from the pipe mill of Lorain- Cuyahoga Works of U. S. Steel, Lorain. He worked there for 25 years. While living in Serbia he worked as a police detective.

He served in the Serbian Army.

He was a member of Saint George Serbian Orthodox Church, Lorain. He was also a member of the United Steel workers Union Local 1104 of Lorain He enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. He was an avid swimmer. He built birdhouses, and fed the birds and squirrels in his yard.

Among the survivors is his wife of 21 years Milicia Knezevich (nee Stojanovich); son James Simoff of Livonia, Michigan, daughters Donna Vidrick of Elyria, Nancy Banjoff of Avon Lake and Gloria Leonard of Sheffield Village, nine Grandchildren and twelve Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Parents Rade and Stoja Knezevich and a sister Milojca

Friends may call Monday 2 to 9 PM at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio, where Parastas will be Monday evening at 7 PM.

Funeral service will be Tuesday 11 AM in Saint George Serbian Orthodox Church, East 33rd Street, and Grove Avenue, Lorain. Reverend Father Milorad Orlic, Pastor. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
