Ruth A. Kozlowski, 73, Mother and Grandmother
Ruth A. Kozlowski, (nee Haas), 73, of Amherst, died Monday, November 8, 2004 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after a lengthy illness.She was born April 24, 1931 in Lorain and had resided in the Lorain and Amherst areas for most of her life.
She was a graduate of Lorain High School and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years: Peter Kozlowski of Amherst, sons: Philip Kozlowski of Sandusky, Mark Kozlowski, Paul Kozlowski and Matthew Kozlowski, all Lorain; daughters Cynthia Coleman of Vermilion, Sharon Kozlowski and Norma Kozlowski, both of Lorain, and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edmund & Laura (nee Heiskenen) Haas and grandson Aaron Kozlowski.
The family will receive friends Tuesday 4-8 PM. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Joseph Warner associate pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst officiating. Cremation will follow and the ashes will be interred in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
