Alex E. Paukst, 90, Floor Inspector
Alex E. Paukst, age 90, of Lorain, died Monday, November 8, 2004 in CommunityHealth Partners West, Lorain after a lengthy illness.
He was born January 1, 1914 in Lorain, lived in South Amherst until 1949 when he moved to Lorain.
He worked as a floor inspector for Nordson Corporation retiring in 1978 after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter. He had belonged to the Holy Name Society of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Lorain, and the United Polish Club. He enjoyed gardening and reading.
Survivors include his daughter, Jeannine (and husband, John) Sedlacek of Versailles, KY; grandson, Daniel Sedlacek; a sister Helen Supers of Oberlin; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Concetta (nee Rosso) in 1982, parents, John and Josephine (nee Galenski) Paukst; brothers Joseph and Walter Paukst and a sister, Frances Zaborniak.
Friends may call Thursday, November 11, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio.
Prayers will be held at Friday, November 12 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. Reverend Kenneth Wolnowski, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
