Patricia A. Veach, 73, Kindergarten Teacher
Miss Patricia A. Veach, 73 of Lorain died on Monday, November 1, 2004 at New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph in Lorain, OH following a long illness.Miss Veach was born on May 14, 1931 in New Boston, OH and has lived in the Lorain area for more than 60 years.
She was a member of the Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church in Lorain. Miss Veach received a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University in 1962. She was a kindergarten teacher for more than 25 years with the Bay Village School district. She retired in 1994.
She was also known as "Rosie the Clown" for 10 years and was an entertainer with the Gibson Girls who sang at local hospitals and nursing homes.
Miss Veach was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority, A.A.R.P., and the Ohio Retired Teacher's Association.
She is survived by her brothers Dr. James Veach of Henderson, NV and Charles Emery Veach of Sheffield Village.
Miss Veach is preceded in death by her parents Thomas W. and Wilda (nee Harmon) Veach.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2004 at 2:00 pm in the Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church, 658 E. Erie Ave., Lorain, Ohio 44052 with Rev. John Ferris, pastor officiating.
Burial will be on Monday, November 29, 2004 at 9:00 am in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township, OH.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church, 658 E. Erie Ave., Lorain, Ohio 44052 in her memory.
