Elizabeth Irene Dearth, 54, Enjoyed traveling and sewing

Photo of Elizabeth Irene Dearth Elizabeth Irene Dearth (nee Burkey), 54, of Vermilion, died Monday, November 1, 2004 at her home after a lengthy illness.

She was born March 13, 1950 in Fort Knox, KY, and has been a Vermilion resident for the past 24 years moving from Cleveland.

She was a member of the Vermilion on the Lake Lot Owners Association. She enjoyed traveling, needlework, quilting, cross stitch and sewing.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Douglas; a daughter, Denise Harris of Macedonia; a son, Timothy Gray of Beauford, SC; 5 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Frances Smith of Stuart FL, and Sandra Miller of Harwood, Maryland and a brother, John Michael Burkey of Pittsburgh, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dollie M. (nee Riggenbach) Burkey.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.

Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Thursday, November 4, 2004, at 11 a.m., with Vicar Rob Schmidt, of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
