Dorothy S. Tzaras, 68, Bookkeeper and comptroller operator

Dorothy was born November 25, 1935 in Lorain and had been a life-long resident of Lorain County.

She was a graduate of Lorain High School with the Class of 1954; she then went on to graduate from the Cleveland Business School. A past parishioner of Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, she was employed as a bookkeeper and comptroller operator for both the Lorain Towel Company and the Richmond Brothers Clothing Store for many years.

She enjoyed dancing and swimming as a youth, and visits with her family later in life.

She is survived by daughters: Olga Sinnamond of Columbia Station, and Leah Needles of Southborough, Massachusetts, a son: Teli Tzaras of Long Beach, California, four grandchildren, her sister: Rose Zaborski of Sheffield Lake, a brother: Robert Zanic of Boca Raton, Florida, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father: Michael Zanic in 1956, and by her mother: Anna Zanic (nee Sas) in 1974.

Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel - 3224 Broadway - Lorain. Funeral services are tentatively scheduled for Friday afternoon at a time to be announced. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery - Lorain.

The family suggests memorials in Dorothy’s memory to the National Alliance of Mentally Ill - Donor Services - 2107 Wilson Boulevard Suite # 300 – Arlington, VA 22201-3042.
