June Ann Thomas, 80, Enjoyed Ceramics and Traveling

June Ann Thomas, 80 of Amherst, died Monday, October 25, 2004 in Amherst Manor after a sudden illness.

She was born June 24, 1924 in Shawnee, Ohio. She grew up in Newcomerstown, OH, and graduated from Newcomerstown High School, class of 1942. She has lived most of her life in Lorain, moving to the area when she was 20.

She worked as a machine operator for 16 years at Bendix Westinghouse, Elyria, and 16 years at Moen of Elyria. She enjoyed traveling and ceramics.

Survivors include son, David G. Thomas of Lorain, brothers, Jack Jaynes of Tampa, FL, and Joe Jaynes of Columbus, OH.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Willard H. and Grace L. (nee McGee) Jaynes, sisters, Laura Bender, Dorothy Demitteo, Millie Fife, and Elenor Jaynes; brothers, Russ, Ned, Richard and Carry Lee Jaynes.

A private service will be held in Newcomerstown, Ohio.
