Mary M. Vrbancic, 61, Served in the US Army

Mary M. Vrbancic, 61, of Lorain died Monday, October 18, 2004 in The hospital for Orthopedic and Specialty Services in Amherst following a lengthy illness.

She was born February 17, 1943 in Lorain and was a life long resident. She graduated from Admiral King High School, Lorain in 1962.

Ms. Vrbancic worked as an assembler for the General Motors Fischer Body plant in Elyria. She worked there for 13 years.

She served in the Army as Spec. 4, Medical Technician and Dental Hygienist.

Ms. Vrbancic was a member of Saint John Roman Catholic Church, Lorain. She was also a member of the AMVETS Post 47, Lorain and the United Auto Workers Local in Elyria. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting.

Among the survivors is her son Greg Vrbancic of Lorain, daughter Danniell Vrbancic of Elyria and four Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Steven and Catherine (nee Marsic) and a brother Steven "Sonny" Vrbancic.

Friends may call Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio.

Funeral services will be Friday with closing prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint John Roman Catholic Church, Homewood Drive and Grove Avenue Lorain. Reverend Fr. Thomas R. Smith will officiate.
