George Floyd Allgauer, 70, US Army Veteran

George Floyd Allgauer, 70, of Norwalk, died Thursday, October 14, 2004 in Fisher Titus Medical Center in Norwalk.

He was born July 3, 1934 in Morgantown, West Virginia. He lived in Norwalk the past 5 years moving from Berlin Heights,

George was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a die setter for Lithonia Down Lighting, Vermilion, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, boating and hunting.

Survivors include his wife of49 years, Sara (nee O'Bryon) Allgauer; 4 sons, Shawn Allgauer of Amherst, Roben Allgauer of Lorain, George Allgauer of Elyria Township, and Scott Allgauer of Norwalk; 2 daughters, Amy Reineck of Norwalk, and Kathy Roby of Willard; 12 grandchildren; and sister, Jane Bolyard of Reedsville, WV.

Preceding him in death were his parents, George and Wilma (nee Sanders) Allgauer and his daughter, Sally Ann Allgauer.

Friends may call Sunday, October 17, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.

Services wilt be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Monday, October 18, 2004, at 11 a.m. with Deacon Paul Knott of the Lakeview Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
