Eldon "Rocky" P. Policy, 89, Jewelry maker, enjoyed traveling

He was born June 22, 1915 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio He has been a Vermilion resident for the past 52 years, moving from the Cleveland area.
Mr. Policy worked for General Motors New Departure in Sandusky as a tool grinder retiring in 1977 after 25 years.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Vermilion. He was a member the Knights of Columbus, Sandusky UAW # 393 and the Ohio Gem and Mineral Society. He was a jewelry maker and was considered a rock hound; he enjoyed traveling, camping and being with his family.
Survivors include daughter, Hazel Hauff of Vermilion, 1 sister, Pauline Fiala of Spencer, OH, 6 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy (nee Manning) Policy on January 11, 1993; a daughter, Patricia Fichtel in 1994; a brother, Jack Policy and sisters, Margaret Lavelle, Anna Fabrizio, Hattie Graham and Mabel Sunday.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 14, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
Prayer will be said on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion.
Interment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park.
