Ronald Lee Spears, 62, Enjoyed Fishing

Ronald Lee Spears, 62, of Lorain, died on Saturday, October 9, 2004, at his home following a lengthy illness.

Born in Powellton, W.V. October 8, 1942 to Andrew and Sylvia Spears. He grew up and proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during Vietnam. Moving to Lorain in 1976, He was employed by Ford Motor Co. with 27 � years of service before retiring. He enjoyed fishing and was a huge sports fan.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years Gail Spears (nee Akers), daughters; Tonda Anderson of Grafton, Paula Spears of Lorain, Kimberly Spears of Lorain, and Angela Hronek of Lorain, brothers; Fred Spears and Jewell Spears, and seven grand children.

He was preceded in death by. His parents Andrew and Sylvia Spears ( nee Platt), both sets of grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Spears, and Mr. and Mrs. James Platt. Sister; Barbara Carr, brothers; Franklin Spears, and James Spears.

Friends may call Tuesday evening October 12, 2004 from 6 pm until time of service at 8 pm. at The Church of God of Prophecy, 1183 Douglas St., Vermilion. Pastor Joe Newberry will be officiating.

Following services here, Mr. Spears will be taken to Montgomery W.V. for services and burial will follow at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery, London W.V. with Military Honors.

Wyers Funeral Chapel 2900 N. Ridge Rd. Elyria, is in charge of handling the arrangements.
