Clara E. Snyder, 82, Enjoyed Cooking and Baking

Photo of Clara E. Snyder Clara E. Snyder (nee Sidlovsky), 82 of Lorain, died Saturday, October 9, 2004, in Amherst Manor after a lengthy illness.

She was born August 2, 1922 in Mt. Pleasant, PA, and has lived in the Lorain area since 1948.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and baking, especially bread and fruit cake, for family and friends. She was a member of St. Mary Church and the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Union. She continued to live an active social life while a resident at Amherst Manor.

Survivors include her daughter, Bernadette L. Laws of Vermilion, OH; son, Craig M. Snyder of Vermilion; brothers, George Sidlovsky and Thomas Sidlovsky of PA, and Lawrence Sidlovsky of Lorain; sisters, Mary Ann Rafacz of PA, Theresa Sidlovsky of Lorain, and Anna Dorothy Morgan of Lorain, Ohio; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband Joseph E. Snyder (1963), parents, John and Clara (nee Honeyshuck) Sidlovsky and sister Bernadette Sidlovsky.

Friends may call Monday, October 11 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio.

Prayers will be said on Tuesday, October 12 at 9:30 am at the Funeral Home and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 8th and Reid St. Lorain, with Fr. Klein officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
