Michael Anthony Christensen, 29, Gamestop Manager

He was born November 3, 1974 in Medina. He came to Lorain as an infant.

He graduated from Admiral King High School in 1993 and was taking business courses at Lorain Community College, Elyria.

Mr. Christensen was managing Gamestop in Elyria. He worked there for five years. Previously to there he worked for Head Start in Oberlin.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. He was and avid reader who enjoyed video games, camping and his children.

Among the survivors is his wife of 8 years Myrna (nee Aponte) Christensen of Lorain; son Michael Anthony Christensen, Jr.; daughter Charisma Yvette Christensen both at home; parents Richard Anthony and Nita Lee (nee Jackson) of West Salem, brother Robert Matthew Christensen of Lorain, Paternal Grandmother Bertie A. Christensen of Elyria, Maternal Grandparents Robert and Norma Jackson of Urbana, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grand Father Richard Christensen.

Friends may call Tuesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio.

Funeral services will be Wednesday with closing prayers at the funeral home at 8:30 AM followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 9:00 AM at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, South Lorain. Reverend, Father William A. Thaden, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
