Marquetta "Marty" J. Nagy, 62, Homemaker and Barmaid
Marquetta "Marty" J. Nagy (nee White) 62 of Lorain died Sunday, October 3, 2004 in Cleveland Clinic following a sudden illness.She was born May 6, 1942 in Portsmouth, Ohio. She Moved from Chillicothe to Lorain in 1961.
Mrs. Nagy was working at Darmos Cafe as a Barmaid. She has worked at Croatian Club, Ukrainian Home, St Ladislaus Club, Romanian Club, and the Abruzzi Club all in Lorain.
She had also worked as an assembler for C and K manufacturing in Westlake. Mrs. Nagy was also a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting. She was a member of St Ladislaus and Romanian Clubs.
Among the survivors are her sons Mark A. Nagy of Grafton and William A. Nagy, Jr. of Lorain, a daughter Lydia Nagy of Lorain; her mother Thelma White (nee Pauley) of Chillicothe; brother Steven White of Chillicothe; a sister Sharon Hall of Kingston and four grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years William A. Nagy in 1987 and her father Mark White.
Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio, where funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Fr. Steven Paliwoda, Pastor of Saint John Ukrainian Catholic Church, Lorain will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township, Ohio.
