Audrey H. Powell, 67, Mother, homemaker, and dedicated volunteer
Mrs. Powell was born September 7, 1937 in Renfrew, PA and grew up in the Butler, PA area. She has lived in Lorain since 1961.
She was a homemaker and an active member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church. She was a circle leader for the Hannah Circle for many years, and enjoyed cooking and preparing dinners and lunches at the church. Mrs. Powell was a dedicated volunteer at the Lorain United Methodist Ministries clothing store. She was also a choir mother. She was a member of the Lakeview School PTA, and a Cub Scout den mother.
Audrey is survived by her husband Edward S. Powell, Jr., to whom she was married on July 13, 1956, sons Edward S. Powell, III of Lorain, Ohio, Jan B. Powell of Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter Cheryl L. Ives of Grafton, Ohio, 3 grandchildren, brothers, Wilbert Kiley, Joseph Kiley, Clettis Kiley all of Butler, PA, sisters Charmaine Wulff, Darlene Bailey both of Butler, PA and Many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Joseph and Marie Gertrude (nee Schnur) Kiley, brother Ronald Kiley, sisters Anna (Sis) Callen, Geneva Hanford, Elizabeth (Betty) Whoolery, Shirley Hertz, Beverly Hodge, and Sandra O’Donnell.
Friends may call at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio on Sunday, October 3, 2004 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 4, 2004 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Dale Warrick, pastor of Cornerstone United Methodist Church, officiating.
