Mary Eliza Riggleman, 89, Enjoyed church activities

Mary Eliza Riggleman (nee Osborn) 89, of Vermilion, died Saturday, September 11, 2004 at Kingston of Vermilion where she had been a resident since 1990.

She was born November 25, 1914 in Norwalk, Ohio. She was a Vermilion resident since 1950.

Mary graduated from Norwalk High School in 1932. She was a member of The Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Vermilion. She enjoyed Church activities and gardening, worked for many years at the Ben Franklin store in Vermilion and Gail's dress shop in Sandusky. Mary and husband, Geroge, owned several businesses in the Vermilion area including the Ben Franklin Store, and the former Pinewood Motel.

Survivors include her son: Larry D. Riggleman of Loudon, TN; grandson, Dean A. Riggleman of Atlanta, GA; granddaughter: Sheree A. Riggleman of Kalamazoo, MI; sister: Allice Osborn Furlong of Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews.

Proceeding her in death was her husband of 34 years, George W. Riggleman in 1969; brother: William Osborn; and parents: Ambrose and Laverna (nee Kean) Osborn.

Friends may call Monday at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, from 11 a.m. until the time of a graveside service at 1 p.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mason Road, in Vermilion.
