Robert D. Raesler, 76, Retired from the US Postal Service in 1988

He was born July 6, 1928 in Amherst where he was raised and lived until moving to Elyria in 2001.

Robert worked for the U.S. Postal System for 27 years retiring in 1988.

Survivors include his wife Evelyn Lou (nee Pelter) sisters Florence Leuszler and Dorothy Koba both of Amherst and Joyce Hill of Vermilion as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Frances Raesler (nee Whyte).

Friends may call Tuesday, From 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Mark Pemberton, pastor of Saint Peter United Church of Christ in Amherst will officiate. Burial will be in Crownhill Cemetery in Amherst, OH.
