Steve Cico, 87, Enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and football

Steve Cico, 87, of Lorain, died Friday, July 30, 2004 at Community Health Partners Hospital in Lorain after a brief illness.

He was born September 5, 1916 in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania and had resided in Lorain since childhood.

Mr. Cico worked at U.S. Steel in Lorain in the three seamless mill for 38 years, retiring in 1975.

He was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Lorain. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, football, and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years; Margaret (nee Golobich), son; Stephen L. Cico of Bluffton, South Carolina, daughter; Marilyn Havas of Sheffield Village, son; Gary S. Cico of Wakeman, 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Louis & Eva Cico, and sister; Mary Minnich.

The family will receive friends Sunday 4-7 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. A Pomen Service will be held on Sunday at 5 p.m. in the funeral chapel, led by Archpriest Basil Stoyka of Ss. Peter & Paul Russian Orthodox Church of Lorain. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Milorad Orlich, pastor of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church of Lorain officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
