June Kanio, 79, Enjoyed sewing, gardening, and crafts

She was born November 3, 1924 in Sheffield Township and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.

She was a graduate of Clearview High School with the class of 1942.

Mrs. Kanio worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses and agencies in the area.

She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church in Elyria. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, crafts, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters; Jane Huhn of Amherst and Linda Wirick of Lodi, 3 grandsons, and a brother; Glen Lehman of Amherst.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Frank Kanio, on July 4, 2003, and parents; Frederick and Mary (nee Benedict) Lehman.

The family will receive friends Sunday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. Elder James Reed of the Elyria Seventh Day Adventist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
