Mary Jane Gale, 78, Enjoyed bingo and fishing in Lake Erie
Mary Jane Gale, 78 of Lorain, died Thursday, July 22, 2004 in Community Health Partners Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born November 8, 1925 in Edison, Ohio. She came to Lorain as a child.
She was 1943 graduate of Clearview High School.
Ms. Gale retired in 1987 as a payroll clerk from United States Steel Lorain-Cuyahoga works, Lorain. She worked there for 38 years. She was also employed as the first female United States Deputy Marshall.
She enjoyed Lake Erie and fishing it. She also enjoyed bingo and was a Cleveland Indians baseball fan.
Among the survivors is her daughter Vicky Bernhardt of Lorain and a two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Marie (nee Foust) Gale.
Services will be private.
