Margaret L. Surak, 63, Enjoyed teaching

She was born January 30, 1941 in Cleveland and moved to Sheffield Lake from Westlake 41 years ago.

She was a graduate of Westlake High School and Baldwin Wallace College.

Margaret was employed as a public school teacher in Westlake, Sheffield Lake and most recently Clearview Schools, where she taught first grade. She was a member of the Avon Lake United Church of Christ. She enjoyed teaching.

Mrs. Surak is survived by her husband of 42 years, Edward; a son Brad of San Diego, California and a daughter, Wendy of Honolulu, Hawaii; and a sister, Barbara Foley of Vermilion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Thelma (nee Fefferman) Schneider and a brother, Leonard Schneider who passed away last week in San Diego.

Friends may call at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 163 Avon-Belden Rd. Avon Lake from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday. Services will be held at the funeral home Saturday, July 3 at 10 a.m. Rev. Kelly Peters of the Avon Lake United Church of Christ will officiate.

Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted. Family suggests memorials be forwarded to the American Cancer Society, 43099 North Ridge Road, Elyria, OH 44035.
