Anne B. Ryan, 84, Avid Cleveland Indians Fan
Anne B. Ryan (nee Borko), age 84, of Avon, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2004 at St. John Westshore Hospital following a short battle with cancer.Mrs. Ryan was born July 15, 1919 in Farrell, PA and had lived in Westlake prior to moving to Avon 36 years ago.
Anne had attended New Wilmington High School, New Wilmington, PA. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper with the Bates and Springer Management Company, Cleveland, retiring in 1971. During the 1970’s, Mrs. Ryan and her husband, Kevin T. Ryan owned a restaurant in Avon. She was a long time member of the senior bowling league at North Coast Shoreway Lanes, Sheffield Lake, and Aqua Marine Lanes. She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, Avon and had done volunteer work for Our Lady of the Wayside and their Curiosity Shop. She was an avid Cleveland Indians Fan.
Mrs. Ryan is survived by her son: John R. Dudas (Diane) of Lancaster, OH; two grandsons: Jason R. Dudas of Erlanger, KY and Jeffery R. Dudas (Mary) of Manchester, CNl; and a great grandson: Connor Nicholas Dudas.
She was preceded in death by her first husband: John Robert Dudas in 1951; and her second husband: Kevin T. Ryan in 1990. She is also preceded in death by her brothers: John, Michael, and Nicholas Borko; a sister: Margaret Axe Dolby; an infant brother and infant sisters; and her parents: Mickolai and Mary (nee Goda) Borko.
Friends may call the Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Road, Avon from 204 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2004. Prayer services will be at the funeral home Friday, July 2 at 10:15 a.m. followed by The Mass of Christian Burial, at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 2640 Stoney Ridge Road, Avon at 11 a.m. Fr. Thomas Cleaton will officiate. Interment will follow in the church’s St. Mary Cemetery. Memorials may be forwarded to Our Lady of the Wayside, 38135 Colorado Avenue, Avon, OH 44012.
